Orion Wins Process Documentation Award

Recognized for Decades of Process Documentation and Improvement Services by PPQMC

Orion Development Group was recognized by the Public Pension Quality Management Council for its outstanding contributions in business process documentation and process redesign. The process documentation award was earned for services in support of more than a dozen public pension systems since 2000.

Process Documentation AwardPublic pension systems are customer/member-focused organizations. Over the last 25 years, Orion has helped numerous pension organizations document their cross-functional processes so that they could deliver high levels of value via efficient operations. Orion’s contributions also helped pension systems implement new, line-of-business IT systems. Well-design processes reduce waste prior to automation. This results in IT systems that are easier to maintain.

“Our first pension system project with Michigan ORS was a seminal experience for Orion,” said founding partner Paul King. “It allowed us to apply our process mapping expertise to drive new strategic plans, a balanced scorecard, a process-oriented organization design, and –of course– highly efficient operations. The lessons learned at ORS enabled us to deliver dramatic improvements for other pension systems… and for organizations in other industries.”

Orion Development Group was founded in 1993. Via professional development partnerships with universities from coast-to-coast, Orion quickly established itself as one of the world’s leading experts on process mapping. Orion has trained more than 30,000 professionals in process mapping and process documentation techniques. They have also helped more than 800 companies apply these techniques in mission-critical projects.

Orion thanks the PPQMC for recognizing our excellence with this process documentation award.
